Private Wealth Advisor
Jonathan is a graduate of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise located in Wise, Virginia and began a career in the financial services industry after transitioning from the banking sector. After several years of working with clients focusing on investment and insurance planning, Jonathan began working for PNC Bank and covered the whole Southeast region of Kentucky. While there, he guided clients through the financial planning process and partnered with other professionals to aid in investments, tax strategies, and estate planning needs. What Jonathan learned during that time was how much fun it was to interact with clients and learn about their specific needs and wishes as well as getting to know them on a personal level.
The person Jonathan looks up to the most in this world is his mother, Sheila. She worked tireless hours to help Jonathan have the best opportunities in life. “I am in this business today because of her efforts” says Jonathan. She worked two and sometimes three jobs at a time and contributed to a small investment account to help save for him to go to college. Jonathan was fortunate enough to earn academic and athletic scholarships, and with the help of the small investment account, he graduated debt free. While studying political science and business in college, Jonathan earned All-American honors in football and was heavily involved in campus leadership through the Student Government Association and his fraternity (Pi Kappa Phi: Epsilon Epsilon Chapter).
Jonathan currently lives on a horse farm in Southwest Virginia with his wife, Jennifer, their son, Reid, and their dog, Charlie. He likes to travel, enjoys shooting and hunting, relaxing on a river, pool, or ocean, and loves to barbecue and cook with friends and family
