Chris Abla

Christopher Abla is a Private Wealth Advisor of GAAM Wealth Advisors, a professional wealth management firm in Tennessee, serving clients through comprehensive financial planning, personal asset management and risk transfer strategies. Since 1992 Chris has been supporting the financial planning needs of families, business owners, executives and institutions.

Upon receiving his BBA degree in Finance from Ohio University’s Copeland College of Business in 1992 Chris began his financial planning career in Cleveland, Ohio by offering comprehensive fee based financial planning and wealth management to affluent clients, executives and business owners. In 1994 he was promoted to District Manager and was responsible for financial planning operations for Cleveland, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Pa and Erie Pa. Chris continued his leadership role as he and his team built a nationally ranked organization.

Chris accepted the opportunity to join the wealth advisory team at GAAM Wealth Advisors in 2014 and brought with him 22 years of industry experience to the firm. Chris has earned four advanced professional designations from the College for Financial Planning – APMA® (Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor), AWMA® (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor), AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) and CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor).

Chris and his wife, Jo, have been married since 1995 and they have five wonderful children, Connor, Parker, Ethan, Alison and Alaina. The family moved to the Tri-Cities in 2006 to be near his parents who had moved to the community to retire. In addition to spending time with his family Chris is highly active in the community serving on a number of charitable boards including, MSHA Hospital Foundation Board – Niswonger Children’s Hospital Executive Committee – The Spine Health Foundation Board and The Johnson City Sports Foundation board of the JC Cardinals baseball team.
