Scott graduated from Shepherd University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in management with a minor in communications. After a successful management career in the transportation industry, he entered the financial planning arena in April of 2000. Scott earned the professional designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) in 2005 after extensive graduate-level coursework and examination at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He is among only 10,000 individuals worldwide who have attained this prestigious license.
As a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute, Scott upholds their mission of ensuring quality service to the public by developing and encouraging high standards in the investment consulting profession. He has contributed to and been featured in Financial Week, Investment News and the Wall Street Journal Magazine: Smart Money.
Scott is also actively involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for CASA, Inc. (Citizens Assisting and Sheltering the Abused), a non-profit organization that offers specialized programs and services for individuals affected by domestic violence. Scott also serves as a Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Star Community, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides innovative and compassionate services to individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities.
Scott and his wife Stacey have two children, Ian and Lauren. He enjoys maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle, playing in USTA tennis leagues and the occasional round of golf. Scott is also an avid soccer fan and enjoys supporting his favorite club Bayern Munich.
